My Uncle was the man hit by this careless driver. He has two broken shoulders, and had surgery on each, needs surgery on his leg. Has a punctured lung, fractures all over his face and body. He is a Viet Nam vet and earned a purple heart. If you have any information on the car and or driver, please contact the police

It says in the story the driver called the authorities and was not arrested. Doesn't that mean that they know who the driver is?

sorry to hear about your uncle, hope he heals fast and gets through the difficult times. My brother died last week due to a vehicle pedestrian accident, My prayers are with you. I'm sure you're upset.. I do worry the lights don't stay green long enough for most people to get to the other side.. not sure how a car misses not seeing people in front of them.
