Deputies Arrest Six in Rowdy Ashland Incident

Major arrests by the Alameda County Sheriff's Department in San Lorenzo, Cherryland and Ashland for March 7-13 also include assaults, child endangerment, tattooing a minor.

Sunday, March 13

1:10 a.m.: A 30-year-old Hayward man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. He was arrested on the 21700 block of Vallejo Street. (Cherryland)
3:53 a.m.: A 25-year-old Hayward man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, and a 21-year-old Fremont man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. They were arrested on the corner of Hacienda Avenue and Via Mogdalena. (San Lorenzo)

Saturday, March 12

2:49 a.m.: A 30-year-old San Leandro man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence (DUI). His vehicle was pulled over on the 300 block of Smalley Avenue. (Cherryland)
10:23 p.m.: A 24-year-old Hayward man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence (DUI). He was arrested on the corner of Hesperian Boulevard and Post Street. (San Lorenzo)

Friday, March 11

4:23 p.m.: A 28-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor. He was arrested on the 50 block of E. Lewelling Boulevard. (Ashland)
9:21 p.m.: A 62-year-old Hayward man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace. He was arrested on the 200 block of Sunset Boulevard. (Cherryland)
11:48 p.m.: A 25-year-old Union City man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. His vehicle was pulled over on the 18200 block of Hesperian Boulevard. (San Lorenzo)

Wednesday, March 9

3:48 p.m.: A 37-year-old Oakland man was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace. He was arrested on the 8500 block of Robscott Avenue. (San Lorenzo)

Tuesday, March 8

12:10 p.m.: An 18-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested on the corner of Ano Avenue and Ashland Avenue. (Ashland)

9:05 p.m.: A 31-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and resisting arrest. He was arrested on the 6200 block of Silver Leaf Drive. (Ashland)

9:43 p.m.: A 51-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested on suspicion of tattooing, or offering to tattoo, a minor. He was arrested on the 600 block of Via Potrero. (San Lorenzo)

11:45 p.m.: A 19-year-old San Leandro man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a hypodermic needle and felony possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on the corner of Grant Avenue and Phil Drive. (San Lorenzo)

Monday, March 7

12:57 a.m.: A half dozen people were arrested in an incident on the 16900 block of Westerman Court. A 29-year-old Hayward man, a 22-year-old Hayward man, a 30-year-old Oakland man, a 50-year-old Hayward man, and a 29-year-old Hayward woman were arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and felony lynching (defined as "taking by means of a riot of any person from the lawful custody of a peace officer"), and a 30-year-old Hayward man was arrested on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and resisting an executive peace officer.
