Here is a summary of arrests for the first week of the year as reported by sheriffs deputies at the Eden County station serving Castro Valley and San Lorenzo.

Peter D. Rydell, 40, a resident of Castro Valley, was arrested on Monday, January 7 at Hank's Liquors in Hayward on suspicion of forgery.

Cassandra M. Drew, 40, a resident of Antioch, was arrested at 12:49 pm on Thursday, January 3, at 3450 Village Drive in Castro Valley for suspicion of petty theft.

Jacob W. Jagoda, 22, a resident of Castro Valley, was arrested in the wee hours of Thursday, January 3 at 16450 Kent Avenue (near Elgin Street) in San Lorenzo for alleged marijuana possession.

Kurt J. Robinson, 27, of Castro Valley, was arrested at his home on the evening of Thursday, January 3 for failure to appear in court.

Kelly Anne Russell, 36, a resident of San Lorenzo, was arrested on Hesperian Boulevard on the evening of Thursday, January 3, for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

James A. Egan, 41, a resident of Hayward, was arrested at 7:51 am on Wednesday, January 2, for allegedly being drunk in public. He was picked up at 22315 Redwood Road in Castro Valley near the Pizza Express.

Joseph R. Hungerford, 44, who listed no home address, was arrested at 12:25 am on Thursday, January 3, at the Village Car Wash in San Lorenzo on suspicion of being drunk in public.

Laviania N. Tupouata, a 26-year-old woman living in San Lorenzo, was arrested in Hayward at 12:02 am on Wednesday, January 2, for an alleged incident of domestic abuse. 

Tyresha Jarvis, 25, an Oakland resident, was arrested at 1:25 am on Sunday, December 30 at Stanton Avenue and Castro Valley Boulevard for allegedly being under the influence.
