Notable arrests in Castro Valley and San Lorenzo from Sept. 3 to Sept. 9

 

Sunday, Sept. 9

  • 5:25 p.m.: A 30-year-old Castro Valley woman was arrested for failing to appear in court. She had a warrant for her arrest and was arrested on Norbridge Avenue on $475 bail. (Castro Valley)

Saturday, Sept. 8

  • 10:38 a.m.: A 39-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation probation. A 31-year-old Sunnyvale man was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Both were arrested on the 3900 block of Castro Valley Boulevard. (Castro Valley)
  • 10:58 p.m.: A 47-year-old man (no location listed) was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, vandalism and resisting arrest. He was arrested on the 3000 block of Castro Valley Boulevard. (Castro Valley)

Friday, Sept. 7

Thursday, Sept. 6

  • 8:42 p.m.: A 32-year-old man (no location listed) was arrested for burglary, violating parole, resisting arrest, violating probation, theft/larceny, and contempt of court. He was arrested on the 3400 block of Castro Valley Boulevard. (Castro Valley)
  • 11:15 p.m.: Four 18-year-old Castro Valley men, one 18-year-old Hayward man and one 19-year-old San Lorenzo man were arrested for robbery. They were arrested on the 20100 block of Lake Chabot Road. (Castro Valley)

Wednesday, Sept. 5

  • 5:40 p.m.: A 72-year-old Castro Valley woman was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence and battery. She was arrested on the 22200 block of Center Street. (Castro Valley)
  • 6:44 p.m.: A 26-year-old Pleasanton man and 26-year-old Hayward man  were arrested for criminal trespassing. They were arrested on the 1160 block of Kentwood Lane. (San Lorenzo)
  • 6:50 p.m.: A 22-year-old San Leandro man was arrested for criminal trespassing and possession of false government identification. He was arrested on the 1100 block of Kentwood Lane. (San Lorenzo)

Tuesday, Sept. 4

  • 11:36 a.m.: A 32-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and  proof of insurance violation. He was arrested on the 5400 block of Balkan Court on $1,841 bail. (Castro Valley)
  • 7:58 p.m.: A 52-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for sending harassing emails and phone calls and resisting arrest. He was arrested on the 600 block of Via Potrero on $25,000 bail. (San Lorenzo)
  • 9:22 p.m.: A 43-year-old Hayward man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and and carrying a switchblade knife. He was arrested on the 19800 block of Lake Chabot Road. (Castro Valley)
  • 10:39 p.m.: A 31-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for contempt of court, resisting arrest, and suspicion of driving while under the influence. He was arrested on the corner of Lessley Avenue and Ada Street. (Castro Valley)

Monday, Sept. 3

  • 11:15 a.m.: A 19-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested for assault with caustic chemicals and violating probation. He was arrested on the 22200 block of Redwood Road. (Castro Valley)
  • 9:56 p.m.: A 62-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence and child endangerment. He was arrested on the 4000 block of Mabel Avenue. (Castro Valley)
  • 11:46 p.m.: A 29-year-old San Lorenzo man was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence and false imprisonment. He was arrested at 17 Paseo Grande. (San Lorenzo)

Another problem: When notified of a reply to a comment I could click the link in the email to go toRead More the article. That was not possible this time. So because a small minority zooms there computer the layout should be as it is? I don't think so. All that white space means that an article that could be read with just one or two clicks to scroll through is now going to take more scrolling to view. One thing that seems to be missing in today's world are web designers who (1) change the layout just because and (2) web designers who have neglected to consider the audience. The more I look at this layout the less I like it. The font needs to be darker than it is. the blue (like in "announcements") needs to be bolder. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 best), I rank the new "improved" design a 3.

was on my father's laptop and he zooms his screen to 125...didn't need to keep bumping the pageRead More right and left, kinda liked it then.
