Castro Valley Resident Leaves Motorcycle Collision With Major Injuries

The California Highway Patrol determine alcohol was not a factor in a motorcycle accident which happened this past Sunday in Wallace, CA.

David Fletcher, a 37-year-old Castro Valley resident, ended up in a motorcycle accident on South Camanche Parkway in Wallace, CA on Sunday, July 28.

Fletcher was riding his 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he failed to get around a curve and crashed, striking an uphill dirt embankment. He sustained major injuries after being ejected from his motorcycle.

An American Legion ambulance drove Fletcher to a helicopter-landing zone where he was then flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.

Fletcher had been drinking before the collision but the California Highway Patrol confirmed that alcohol did not cause the accident therefore he was not arrested.
