Castro Valley Man Killed Running Across Highway
The 29-year-old man was killed along I-580 in Oakland early Sunday morning.
A Castro Valley man was killed early Sunday morning as he ran across I-580 in Oakland, according to the Oakland Tribune.
The 29-year-old man was struck by a paratransit van traveling eastbound at around 12:18 a.m. near the Dutton Avenue off-ramp. His identity has not yet been released.

According to the Tribune, the driver of the van was traveling at 65 mph but wasn’t able to stop in time.
CHP is still investigating the case.
