Castro Valley Man Identified in Oakland Homicide

Brian Robinson, 41, of Castro Valley was found shot several times in a car on the 10200 block of Stanley Avenue. Robinson was transported to a hospital, where he died.

A man who was fatally shot in West Oakland on Sunday morning has been identified as 30-year-old Ronald Kidd, of Hayward, police said today.

The shooting occurred in the 700 block of Market Street at about 5:40 a.m. on Sunday. Oakland police said they hope to release more information on the shooting on Thursday.

In an unrelated homicide, the Alameda County coroner's bureau has identified the victim of a fatal shooting near Foothill Square on May 11 as 41-year-old Brian Robinson, of Castro Valley.

That shooting was reported in the 10200 block of Stanley Avenue at 3:28 p.m. Responding officers found Robinson shot several times in a car, police said.

Robinson was transported to a hospital, where he died.
