Police are investigating an incident where a motorist shot at another passing car several times on westbound Interstate 580 Tuesday evening according to the Oakland Tribune.
No injuries were reported.
The Tribune reports that "a maroon colored four-door Ford Taurus was riddled with bullets and abandoned by the driver on the side of the freeway not far from Castro Valley Boulevard."
Police did not release information regarding any arrests made Tuesday night.
The other car involved in the incident drove off and has not been found, according to the Tribune.
Readers have reported that the interstate was closed off for more than an hour during the CHP investigation, which is still ongoing.
Lanes were closed around 7:30 p.m. and did not reopen until 9 p.m.
