Car Crashes Into Castro Village Thai Restaurant

Readers report that a car had driven into Lime Leaf Thai Restaurant early this morning.

Updated June 7 9:30 a.m.

The owner of in Castro Village was shocked to walk up to her restaurant Wednesday morning to see her front wall pushed in and window completely shattered.

"What happened?" said Monaput "Noon" Miner.

Folks at the scene and on Castro Valley Patch's Facebook and Twitter pages reported that a woman in a new black BMW had crashed into the restaurant early that morning. The Daily Review reports that the incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. that morning.

Castro Village Shopping Center management later confirmed this to be true, according to Miner. Apprently she had stepped on her gas pedal instead of her breaks, the Daily Review Reports.

Miner arrived at her store around 10:30 a.m. to open the shop at 11 a.m., but had to go in the back way because broken glass and an unstable-looking front door was blocked off by yellow tape.

No injuries were reported.

She told Castro Valley Patch the restaurant will remain open during repairs.

"We are cleaning up," she said, but diners can enter through the patio to either order food to-go, eat inside or enjoy dining in the patio area.

Patch was unable to get a hold of authorities but will update this story as further details are made available.

Another problem: When notified of a reply to a comment I could click the link in the email to go toRead More the article. That was not possible this time. So because a small minority zooms there computer the layout should be as it is? I don't think so. All that white space means that an article that could be read with just one or two clicks to scroll through is now going to take more scrolling to view. One thing that seems to be missing in today's world are web designers who (1) change the layout just because and (2) web designers who have neglected to consider the audience. The more I look at this layout the less I like it. The font needs to be darker than it is. the blue (like in "announcements") needs to be bolder. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 best), I rank the new "improved" design a 3.
