Boy Shot in Head in Critical Condition
The shooting happened on Sunday night in the area of Del Norte Court and Oliver Drive in Hayward.
A boy is in critical condition today after being shot in the head in Hayward on Sunday night, police said today.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at Del Norte Court and Oliver Drive, just west of Hesperian Boulevard, shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday and found the boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his head, police said.
The juvenile, whose name and age are not immediately being released, was unresponsive and was taken to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to police.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, police said. Hayward police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call their criminal investigations bureau at (510) 293-7034.
