Sheriff's Log: Arrests For Carjacking And Pot Growing In Castro Valley

Arrests from Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland and San Lorenzo also include a variety of incidents involving drinking and drugs.

 

These arrests are drawn from the log book of the Alameda County Sheriff's Department's Eden Substation serving Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland and San Lorenzo.

A 47-year-old man with no home address provided was arrested at 3:13 am at the 7-ELEVEN at 477 Hacienda Avenue in San Lorenzo, for failing to appear for a parking summons.

Two related men, one 42 and the other 41,  were arrested at 4:45 pm at the home they shared on the 18900 block of Sydney Circle in Castro Valley on charges of growing marijuana for sale and possession of marijuana for sale.

An Oakland man, 33, was arrested at 4:46 pm on the 3700 block of Castro Valley Boulevard for suspicion of burglary.

Friday, March 29

A 49-year-old Hayward man was arrested shortly after midnight at the intersection of Somerset and Stanton in Castro Valley for possessing a large volume of marijuana, violating his probation, public intoxication and driving under the influence.

Saturday, March 30

A 22-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested at 4:16 am at Redwood Road and Vegas Avenue in Castro Valley for driving under the influence.

A 20-year-old San Jose man was arrested at 10 am on the 2700 block of Castro Valley Boulevard for carjacking and child endangerment. 

A 33-year-old Castro Valley man was arrested for drunk in public on Castro Valley Boulevard underneath the Interstate 580 overpass.
