I am sorry to see a local business leave Castro Valley, but I have to say, I purchased items there on two separate occasions, and was treated very standoffishly, like I was interrupting something, even though we were the only people in the store. Again, sorry to see a business go, but we stopped going there after these experiences. Be kind (or even polite) to your customers if you want return business :(

Since the Tied and Dried store moved out next to Adela's, there should be a small grocery store that can move into both vacant spots. There are people such as I that prefer not to shop at the nearby grocery stores.

I think we need a classy brew pub or wine bar. Where is Massage Envy going?

Joy, there is a nice little bakery on Santa Maria across from the Village. It's hard to keep any business in the Village because the landlord keeps raising the rent even through the construction is hurting everyone.
