The small beige kiosk that sits along Castro Valley Boulevard has sat vacant for years.
The site was home to the former Carry Outee, a Chinese food vendor. However, in 2008, it lost its lease and relocated to Hayward.
Though its website says it is looking into reopening in Castro Valley soon, owner Cecil Chu said after the economy took a turn for the worst, these plans are now put on hold.
The Castro Valley Boulevard kiosk had also been home to other well-known restaurants in the past. Can you name a few of them? What kinds of foods did you regularly order there?
