Moreau Catholic High School Honors Alumn, BART Officer Tom Smith

To pay tribute to Officer Tom (“Tommy”) Smith (Class of 1989), a graduate who touched so many lives in our community at large, Moreau Catholic High School will be having an honor guard of select students and faculty/staff in front of the school on Wednesday at approximately 9:10 a.m. 

This solemn recognition will take place at 27170 Mission Boulevard at Moreau Catholic High School, as the funeral procession passes from Chapel of the Chimes North to Three Crosses Church in Castro Valley for the service. 

The entire Moreau Catholic High School community mourns the tragic loss of Officer Tom Smith. Dani Lorta, Director of Alumni Relations at Moreau Catholic High School, was his classmate. 

She says, “Tommy was a leader in our community. He was someone who was as committed to his career, as he was to his friends and family. We are reeling from the loss and are staying in close contact to support the many people whose lives he touched so deeply.”
