San Lorenzo's First FREE Movie Night is TONIGHT (Friday 9/6)! The Building of the Village

Come see the rare, informative, & historic, "The Building of the Village" movies TONIGHT, Friday 9/6, 377 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo - FREE POPCORN!

No need to pay $80 bucks for a movie & popcorn for the family this Friday. Tonight, mix it up a little, do something different & FREE and come SEE, "The Building of the Village" movies made way back in 1946.

I grew up and lived in San Lorenzo most of my life and I never knew these films existed. It's almost like they were hidden in some San Lorenzo vault and recently unearthed for us to enjoy. Now we're going to show them for FREE on a BIG screen and provide you with FREE popcorn too.

You'll laugh, you'll cry (well hopefully not), but I think you'll be surprised by the immense effort and hard work that went into making San Lorenzo one of the first affordable planned communities that returning GI's from World War II & their families could be proud to call their home. Plus, our own local historian Doris Marciel will be there to answer questions you might have about the history of San Lorenzo & our neighboring communities (Castro Valley, San Leandro, Hayward).

Tonight's going to be fun and I'm proud to be spending a night celebrating the history, beauty, and generosity of my hometown of San Lorenzo.
