So, this past Saturday I finished the ultra trail race in this blog. It was pretty hot in Castro Valley, but as is usually the case, it was even hotter in the 680 corridor by about 10 degrees, so hitting 90. Although this may sound horrendous, I had a great time.
Despite managing my fluids suboptimally and cramping even before the race started, and several close calls with muscle spasming, I managed to finish under 5:13, good enough for 2nd place overall.
