Final Results from EALI Vote Are In

On Saturday, the Eden Area Livability Initiative held a community charrette to see what change resident wanted to see in the Eden Area — which includes Ashland, Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, Fairview and Cherryland.

Residents, 16 years and older, were able to vote for areas in which they feel needs county assistance.

The following three goals will go forward to the implementation of the EALI process:

  • Prevent crime and reduce recidivism (Public safety and realignment)
  • Enhance local self-governance (Governance)
  • Promote private economic investment in the Eden Area and attract both businesses and customers (Economic development) 

If you are passionate about these top three goals, please attend the next Blue Ribbon Steering Committee Meeting on Jan. 15, 2014 at Eden United Church of Christ, located at 21455 Birch Street in Hayward, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
