Rocky Horror Food Drive for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Experience Rocky Horror at the Rheem! Give yourself over to absolute pleasure... and at the same time give much needed food to the elderly, disadvantaged and homeless of Contra Costa and Solano Counties.

One can of healthy food and only seven dollars gets you into the historic Rheem Theatre for the best Rocky Horror Picture Show in the area. Our crew has been doing it right since 1978! The Rheem Theatre in Moraga showcases Northern California’s Premier Rocky cast, Barely Legal, and You, on the spacious dance floor in front of the fifty foot wide CinemaScope screen! Our new sound system will surround you with the timeless music of Rocky Horror, the grand daddy of all midnight movies. Videos and Betty Boop will be shown during Check-In. Come in costume and win prizes at our costume contest. Win more prizes after the show during the Rocky Horror Trivia Quiz, hosted by our Rheem Queen of Scream, Vanessa. All this for only seven dollars and one can of healthy food! (Or nine dollars if you forgot to bring food). Either way it’s a great deal!

Currently, more people are out of work or homeless than ever before. Due to the economy, many social programs have been cut back or eliminated. It is the compassion of private citizens and their generosity that is getting the disadvantaged fed and back on their feet. All donations are greatly appreciated, but these items are needed most: 1-Canned Meat, Fish & Soups; 2-Canned Ready to Eat Meals; 3-Canned Vegetables & Tomato Products; 4-Peanut Butter; 5-Iron Rich Cereal (45% or more of daily value); 6-100% Fruit Juice (48 oz. or less plastic bottles); 7-Canned Fruit (in juice); 8-Dry Beans (any type); 9-Enriched Rice or Pasta; 10-Powdered Milk.

The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano serves over 130,000 people every month. Please visit them on the web at www.FoodBankCCS.org or call them at 925-676-7543 if you can help.
