Relay for Life of Castro Valley

It is not too late to join the Castro Valley community in the fight against cancer. Relay for Life is a 24-hour team event.  It raises awareness of cancer in the community and money to support the many programs the American Cancer Society provides.

How it works: A team captain gets together family, friends and co-workers to form a team.  Prior to the event, team members raise funds but there is no minimum requirement. Raise $100 and you get an event t-shirt.

On the day of Relay, grab your tent and chairs and head to the track.  It's a community camp-out. Teams pitch their tent and team members take turns on the track. One person is always on the track representing the team for the 24 hours because "Cancer does not sleep so neither do we."  All day long we have events and entertainment as well as food, raffle and silent auction.

Relay is special because it allows us to honor our cancer survivors, remember those we've lost and bring cancer awareness to our communtiy.

If you would like to be a part of this very worthwhile event or for more information, go to our website at:  www.relayforlife.org/castrovalleyca
