A members-only preview sale of books, CDs and DVDs at the Castro Valley Library on Friday, Aug. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will be followed by two more sale days open to the general public on Saturday and Sunday.
All proceeds directly benefit the Castro Valley Library.
The open sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in the library's Chabot Room. On Sunday, the popular discount of "$3 per bag of books" will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Memberships will be sold or renewed at the door. Members get their $10 membership fee back through discounted purchases during the year when they join Castro Valley Friends of the Library. The fee is $5 for students.
