Holiday Toy and Food Drive Needs Community's Help!

Davis Street Family Resource Center's annual Holiday Basket and Toy Drive is in full swing and needs your help! One thousand local families struggling with poverty (residing in San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Cherryland, and Ashland) are registered to receive food baskets and toys for children for the December holiday.

Davis Street is seeking the following donations between now and December 21st.

  • Non-perishable food i.e. canned vegetables and fruit, boxed stuffing, pastas, canned proteins such as tuna and peanut butter, rice, beans and more
  • New toys for children and youth ages infant to 12 years old. All gifts must be unwrapped and non-violent please.
  • Gift certificates for older children 12+  (suggested $20 increment)
  • Cash contributions that specify the funds are to be used to purchase food and toys
