Free showing of TRANS film at Castro Valley Library

This award-winning 90 minute film shows transgender-identified people, both young and old. It will be followed by a panel of trans people - some of them featured in the film - who can answer questions about the film, the trans experience, and how individuals and organizations can be more welcoming and supportive of trans people.  Doors open at 1:30 PM. The film is presented by Starr King Unitarian Universalist Church of Hayward.

Panelists include Kari McAllister, Tiffany Woods, and Jamison Green. Kari McAllister is on the Citizen's Advisory Committee of HARD, the Hayward Area Recreation Department, and is a Hayward Library Commissioner. Tiffany Woods is a mother, producer and advocate. She is Program Manager for Transgender Services at Tri-City Health Center, Fremont, and a member of the Oakland Police Department LGBT Advisory group and the department’s liaison to the transgender community.
