Dear Hayward Area Families,
Over the past 6 months, a dedicated group of local parents, teachers, and students have been meeting weekly to develop a Charter Petition in order to open a PUBLIC (tuition free) Charter Montessori High School in Hayward. Silver Oak High School aims to offer a Montessori based education to students and families seeking an alternative education in the Hayward area. Our Charter Petition was submitted to the HUSD School Board on Oct. 12th, with plans to open next school year with grades 9 and 10 being offered the first year.
We would like to encourage Silver Oak supporters to attend the HUSD School Board meeting, on Wednesday November 14th at Hayward City Hall. Please come on November 14th and show your support for this project.
