The Alameda County Office of Education will host the 8th Annual Alameda County History Day on Saturday, February 23 at 12:00 p.m. at the Oakland Museum of California.
Alameda County students will display research projects on this year’s National History Day theme, Turning Points in History. Nearly 200 students from grades 5-12 will compete individually or in teams in the elementary, junior and senior divisions. Students will be awarded for their participation in the five project categories: museum exhibits, documentary films, websites, dramatic performances and historical papers. Up to two winners per category may advance to the California state competition in April.

12:00-3:00 p.m. - Viewing of dramatic performances, documentaries.
3:00-4:00 p.m. - Viewing of museum exhibits.
3:45 p.m. - Awards ceremony.
