Teenager Struck & Killed By Amtrak Train in San Lorenzo

A juvenile was struck and killed by a train in San Lorenzo Thursday evening. Friday morning authorities identified the deceased juvenile as Austin Price, 15, of Hayward. The Alameda County coroner's bureau was called to the scene at 6:40 p.m., Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari told Bay City News. Magliari said the victim was hit by Train 544 traveling from San Jose to Sacramento. The accident occurred on the tracks near Lewelling Boulevard and Via Granada, and authorities believe the teenager who was killed may have been playing a game of dares with three other boys.
