Enjoy the calm between construction storms on Castro Valley Boulevard, where you can now make left turns of all sorts. On Monday, excavators, wheel loaders and other heavy construction equipment were nowhere to be seen.
Phase 1 of the project is complete.
Alameda County officials told Castro Valley residents at a May 11 meeting that Phase 2 would take place on the south side of the boulevard. A second respite between construction phases is expected over the rainy season, including the holidays.
