Why Go: Make a positive difference and volunteer with , an organization working to restore more than 600 acres of tidal wetlands at Eden Landing Ecological Reserve on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay in Hayward.

URBAN AGRICULTURAL AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING BICYCLE TOUR

Where/When: West Oakland Bart Station; Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon

Why Go: This 10-mile urban ride will wind its way to several affordable housing developments with creative food-growing gardens, from individual garden plots to community greenhouses.
