Where/When: 22392 Foothill Blvd. in Hayward; Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Why Go: Explore camping in California through historic photos in this delightful traveling exhibition. Hosted by the Hayward Area Historical Society.

Where/When: 3050 West Winton Avenue in Hayward; Saturday at 2 p.m. to 11 a.m. the next day

Why Go: Bring your sleeping bags and small tents and celebrate Dad’s special day by hiking, fishing, exploring, beach-combing, and roasting marshmallows!

Pricing: $75 adult/child pair. $10 additional child; $25 additional adult

Where/When: Memorial Park in Hayward; Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Listen to live Rock and Roll music and enjoy a day of dance, art, theater and chess!

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Chabot College in Hayward; Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight

Why Go: If you are 20 years of age and younger, party the night away at an Alcohol and Drug Free Dance for LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, & Questioning) Youth.

Pricing: $25

FATHER'S DAY BBQ

Where/When: Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland; Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Treat Dad to a delicious BBQ and then spend the afternoon exploring Chabot's interactive exhibits, watching a planetarium show, and looking through Chabot's giant, historic telescopes.

Pricing: General Admission + $15; $13 Dads & Members; $10 Children
