From the Idol auditions to Valentine's, the week that was.

The past week was full of excitement, from auditions for American Idol in San Francisco to the hormone-filled approach of Valentine's Day. We finished up Super Bowl Sunday and Lunar New Year, and headed straight for the meat of mid-month.

Among the controversial topics we hit in the third week of February: the ever-expanding redevelopment debate and the increasingly expensive fate of the Eden Area Chamber of Commerce. Readers and contributors faced off on everything from the recall to Valentine's day, but for the most part, folks agreed to disagree. Here's to another week of polite but civil discourse!
