Fast Food Workers Planning One-Day Strike On Thursday

Written by David Mills

Fast-food workers plan to walk off the job on Thursday in a protest over wages, according to a story in the Contra Costa Times.

The one-day strike will affect restaurants in 10 cities from Richmond to Fremont.

The establishments affected include Jack in the Box, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Subway, Burger King, Carl's Jr. and Wendy's, according to the Times.

The employees will join workers across the country in a protest to demand a $15-an-hour minimum wage, better benefits and the right to join a union.
