Earthquake Rattles North Bay -- Did You Feel It?

A 3.3 quake rumbled through the Napa area shortly after 9:30 a.m. today

If you felt the ground moving this morning, you might not have imagined it.

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake rattled the Napa Valley area at 9:31 a.m. today.

The quake was on the Concord-Green Valley fault, which travels near Mount Diablo and through the San Ramon Valley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was centered about 6 miles northeast of Vallejo.

No reports yet of any serious damage or injuries.

We felt the quake at Napa State Hospital - shook our desks for about 3-4seconds at Central Nursing Services!

You can't compare Castro Valley with Menlo Park. Menlo Park is on the edge of Silicon Valley and hasRead More much more income per capita than Castro Valley could ever hope to have. Certainly the county is a lousy and unfair administrator, but we can at least afford them (somewhat). It is extremely unlikely that we could support a city unless you lie a lot about our finances like the incorporation proponents did during the last election.
