Community Turns Out In Support of COPPS Shop

Alameda County Sheriff's Office barbecue fundraiser brings hundreds to Castro Valley's First Presbyterian Church.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving unit hosted a fundraiser barbecue Friday. Many in the community came out in support of the unit.

The menu included smoked tri-tip, chicken, hot links, salad, beans, and potato salad. Two long tables were set up with desserts. including cupcakes, sliced cakes and ice cream sundaes with all of the fixings. 

Some of the sheriff's office's larger assets were on display as well. The bomb squad vehicle was there for inspection along with some example of incindiary devices.
