Children's Nature Classes Coming in November at Sulphur Creek

Registration is underway for these popular programs so sign-up now

Sulphur Creek Nature Center is announcing upcoming classes which will be held at the center located at  1801 D Street in Hayward. 

Pajama Toddler Time

Come discover how animals sleep as we visit the hamster, dove and bat during Pajama Toddler Time. Toddler Time is a monthly program for ages one to three with their caregiver which includes animal encounters, a craft and a short outdoor exploration.

The fee is $8 per child and $3 for siblings. You can choose one of the following times that suits you:  Monday, November 5 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.;  Tuesday, November 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; Saturday, November 10 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. or Wednesday, November 14, 10 to 10:45 am.  

Animal Feet Nature Class

Investigate different feet as we visit the opossum, chinchilla, and tortoise, and search for tracks on the trail. Nature classes are offered monthly and include animal visits, a nature hike and a craft project.

The fee is $10 per child and the class is available at the following times: For ages three to five: Monday, November 19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; For ages four to seven: Tuesday, November 6 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. or Monday, November 19 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; For ages five to nine: Wednesday, November 14 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Another problem: When notified of a reply to a comment I could click the link in the email to go toRead More the article. That was not possible this time. So because a small minority zooms there computer the layout should be as it is? I don't think so. All that white space means that an article that could be read with just one or two clicks to scroll through is now going to take more scrolling to view. One thing that seems to be missing in today's world are web designers who (1) change the layout just because and (2) web designers who have neglected to consider the audience. The more I look at this layout the less I like it. The font needs to be darker than it is. the blue (like in "announcements") needs to be bolder. Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 best), I rank the new "improved" design a 3.
