The artwork is being created by Miriam Klein Stahl, in collaboration with Pippa Murray Mosaics. The artwork will be installed after the major construction activities on the street are complete.

The artwork will be inset onto 35 seat blocks and 2 gateway markers along Castro Valley Boulevard. Images representing native plants, local landmarks, and community activities will be presented as marble mosaics within granite slabs. Silhouettes of the hills found around Castro Valley will be made in cut stone.
