Tickets are available for a benefit honoring 17-year-old Ryan Buchanan, which will take place Oct. 15 at the from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.
Buchanan is in a perpetual vegetative state following the he and a friend were digging while on a field trip at in Watsonville in June. The other boy was rescued quickly, but Ryan, who was deeper in the tunnel, was under the sand for about 15 minutes.
The event will include live music, food, dancing, raffles, a silent auction throughout the night. Activities for children will be offered until 9 p.m.
A limited number of adult tickets are available in advance for $20. Tickets will cost adults $30 at the door. For those 17 and under, the cost will be $1 per year of age. For more information on the event and ticket options click here.
