CocoPuff: The Recycled Foster Dog

A wonderful family adopted Coco and we thought he had his forever home but...

"CocoPuff"
Approx Age: 3 years
Terrier/Chihuahua mix
Male, neutered 18 lbs

Cocopuff is a beautiful, chocolate brown and white terrier/chihuahua mix. He first came to Dusty Paws from the Oakland shelter three years ago as a special needs pup with mange. While the mange cleared up he was kept in a foster home where he was house-trained and taken to the vet for neutering and vaccinations. A wonderful family adopted Coco and we thought he had his forever home.

Unfortunately for him and his family, one of the children developed serious allergy problems and the doctor said the dog had to go. It was very difficult for his family to say goodbye, but they know he is back in good hands and that Dusty Paws will find the right new home for him. Maybe that will be yours.

Coco is a happy, playful, lovable little guy. He is 3 years old now and 18 lbs. He loves other dogs and kids, likes to travel, and really enjoys snuggling. We don't know how he is with cats as he hasn't been exposed to them.
