Romeo and Juliet comes to Castro Valley via New Jersey

We have all seen Romeo and Juliet. But have you ever seen Romeo and Juliet set on the Jersey Pier in the 70’s with a generous dollop of Bruce Springsteen? I think not.

The Castro Valley Dramatic Arts Academy has set about re-imagining the classic tragedy with their talented cast of high school and college age actors.

And I’m not going to mince words or play coy, my son is playing Romeo, and that’s pretty fricking cool.

These kids have been working super hard and you should come out and support theatre in your community. Performances are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 28-30, at 6:30 p.m., and a special matinee performance on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. You can find them in the Little Theater in D-11 at Canyon Middle School. Suggested donation of $10 admission.
