Workers at about a dozen Walmart stores in Southern California have staged a walkout, the first strike in the company's 50-year-history, to support their efforts to organize a union, according to published reports.
The walkout is being organized by a group called OUR Walmart, an employee organization which is backed by the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, reports Salon Magazine.
