Where Do You Log in? What's Your Favorite Wi-Fi Spot?

Now that BART is on strike again and with the roads a mess and ferries filled, we want to know the best Wi-Fi spots in town for those lucky souls who don't have to be at the office but don't want to work from home.

It’s official!  Unfortunately, the BART strike will continue into Monday and affect the morning commute.   You might consider riding your bicycle across the bay like this guy or you might consider telecommuting.

But, just because you don’t have to show up in the office doesn’t mean you want to work from home.  We asked our Facebook followers to tell us the best places to work when all you really need is a reliable Wi-Fi connection.

Here’s what we learned.

Union City residents can go to Starbucks if they want to-there are four Union City locations- but they, along with Union City Patch editor Zoneil Maharaj, miss Paddy’s Coffee House.

If you’re looking for Wi-Fi in Fremont or you want to bend Zoneil’s ear you can head over to Suju’s on Thornton.  RyanJes Phillips says it’s “a nice atmosphere for working in a relaxed yet productive environment.  Jennifer Harrison Hill suggests the Whole Foods Market and Olga Perez says “Safeway at the Hub has Wi-Fi.”  Reader Sandy Nevels says the library is set up with Wi-Fi.

According to Daron Cam if you’re in Castro Valley you should try Café 4.  Fadwa Silmi prefers Café Rumi and Jennifer Mintz Kline suggest going to the library.

Where do you go when you need Wi-Fi but don’t want to work at home and you don’t want to deal with the commute?  Tell us in comments.

my favorite FREE wi fi spot is the Greenhouse McDonalds in San Leandro-excellent strong wi fi connection usually(was out for 10 days recently but back again)the restaurant was recently renovated with comfy seats and nice lighting-better than Starbucks
