Ontiveros stuck with a French theme and new decor — hanging chandeliers from the ceiling and giving the shop a fresh coat of cheerful purple and yellow paint.

"I just got tired of going to a regular [dog-grooming] salon," she said.

After having a growing business, which she ran from her home in Ashland, Ontiveros decided it was time to expand to a brick-and-mortar shop.

She hopes to stay open for business by making sure not to overbook her clients and keep her rates fair and affordable.

"I want it to be a good experience for everyone overall," she said.

Prices vary based on the sizes and breeds of the dogs. Ontiveros said small and medium dogs usually go for around $45 for a haircut, while large dogs go for $60. Her motto: We do them all, big or small.

The following services are available: hand scissor cuts, nail clipping and filing, bathing, ear cleaning, dematting, blow drying and of course, haircuts.
