Job of the Week: Travel Consultant

Job title: Virtual Travel Sales Consultant with World Travel Holdings (WTH)

Location: At-home office; online environment

Primary Focus: Provide sales and service handling incoming calls for vacation and cruise travel arrangements. Receive extensive paid training and set up basic computer office

Responsibilities and performance expectations: Call handling, phone time, calls per hour, etc., and are supervised throughout your work day. You will be required to participate in team meetings and ongoing training initiatives

Specific job duties:

• Handle 2-3 inbound calls per hour and follow up with customers
• Follow Customer Connection call scripting to reflect our sales methodology.
• Book and confirm vacation reservations in our proprietary reservation system and/or with the appropriate travel supplier.
• Ensure reservations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Attend team meetings and/or training sessions as needed.
• Proactively complete travel certifications

Qualifications:

Must be able to work a full-time schedule of 35-45 hours per week (number of hours determined by WTH based on business needs) with a schedule changing every 12 weeks between the hours of 7 a.m. EST and 3am EST, Sunday through Saturday (including holidays).  

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years working experience including at least 1 year sales experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and adhere to scheduling and call volume requirements
• Great oral and written communication skills
• Ability to type 25-30 words per minute and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Internet searching and other software programs
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, dependability, and highly skilled in customer service
• Ability to support a company-provided computer, set up a dedicated phone line with DSL or cable, headphones, printer and secure file cabinet.

Successful completion of a background check required.
