Cherryland Auto Repair Shop Under Construction

Zoning board will consider a conditional use permit for the facility at the site of burned-out Ray's Auto Repair

Construction of an auto repair facility is under way at the former site of Ray's Auto Repair on Rufus Court in Cherryland, which burned in a fire several years ago.

According to the Alameda County Planning Department, the new facility will be similar to the old one, with the addition of a second booth for spray painting of vehicles. It's located about 150 feet off Mission Boulevard.

Property owner Ronald Deininger's request for a conditional use permit to continue automotive repair operations at the site and to add the extra spray booth comes before the West County Board of Zoning Adjustments tonight, July 13.
