1950's-Style Diner to Open On the Boulevard

"Boulevard Burgers #2" is expected to open in a few months.

After years of vacancy, construction and curiosity by passersby, the will soon reopen as a 1950's-style diner according to the Castro Valley Forum

The Forum reported this week that local restaurateur Mike Wiesner plans to open "Boulevard Burgers #2" at in the coming months.

Wiesner owns and Boulevard Burger in San Leandro, along with at in Castro Valley.

According to the Forum, aside from dishing out diner fare like "top-quality" burgers, milkshakes and malts, Wiesner also plans to serve beer and wine. It reported that Wiesner is in the process of trying to acquire permits to do so.

Bill Lambert, Alameda County Assistant Director of Economic Development, said he has spoken with the landlord of the building who has told him that the diner is expected to hopefully open around June.
