The San Lorenzo/Ashland/Cherryland Community hosts its very first Relay for Life on Aug. 11 and 12 at the Arroyo High School track.

By the

Join the San Lorenzo/Ashland/Cherryland Community as it hosts its on Aug. 11 and 12 at the track.

Individuals, participants and their team members walk the track for 24 hours because "cancer never sleeps". The event will kick off at 9 a.m. with public officials, guest speakers and a lap that will tribute all the survivors in our community who are still fighting and/or surviving cancer.

This will be followed by a day filled with individual teams raising funds and
awareness for a variety of types of cancer; there will be activities, music, entertainment, themed "laps" and more!

At dusk the track is lit with luminary bags which are decorated and commemorate relatives, friends and family members who have been lost, are surviving or have been affected by this disease.

This is San Lorenzo/Ashland/Cherryland's very first Relay for Life. Please help support us in our fight against this disease that has touched so many lives! We are still in need of volunteers for the event and monetary or in-kind donations!
