Supervisor Chan to Hold Town Hall Hearing on Impact of Budget Cuts on County

Alameda County Supervisor Wilma Chan will hold a “Human Impact Budget” town hall hearing on Wednesday, March 21, to highlight the impact of state budget cuts on Alameda County’s most vulnerable families and residents.

The “Human Impact Budget” is an innovative process developed by Supervisor Wilma Chan that aims to educate local residents about state budget cuts with a direct focus on impacts to people, families and communities, raise awareness of the role of County government and the safety net, and strengthen state advocacy efforts.

At the hearing, the Supervisor will release a report with specific analyses of how Alameda County residents are being affected by state budget cuts to CalWORKs, In Home Supportive Services, Adult Day Health Centers, Medi-Cal, and Foster Care.
