Sun Gallery Offers Free Family Art Workshops

Drop-in the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. and get creative

Nearby Sun Gallery Studio, at 1015 E Street Hayward, invites families with children to drop-in to its studio classroom from 1 to 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month for a family art class.

These sessions are free of charge and for anyone age 5 and older.  Different hands-on art projects are offered each time using items easily found in nature or around the house.

Sometimes artists who have exhibits on display at the Sun Gallery participate in these workshops along with the gallery's staff.

Although no reservations are required, it is best to call the gallery ahead of time at 510-581-4050 to be certain the gallery's art teacher is holding a session.  (Occasionally teachers have to cancel on a particular day.)
