Castro Valley's will be the site of the Fourth Annual North American Premier Giddha Competition on June 9 at 6 p.m. (Doors open at 5 p.m.)
Giddha is a high-energy traditional dance of females of Punjab, a region straddling the border between Pakistan and India.
The competition for cash prizes will attract teams from all over the nation. There will also be performances from youth teams from throughout the Bay Area.
