New Wrinkles Musical Revue

New Wrinkles proves growing older can be FUN! Chanticleers Theatre in Castro Valley is closing their season with a raucous, kick-in-the-libido, musical revue that covers all the crazy, wonderful and disconcerting events experienced by those living through their middle years.  Becoming eligible for AARP, negotiating with your HMO, empty nest syndrome,  and . . . oh yeah - forgetfulness are all victims of the humorous sketches and songs written by the local funny team of Rita Abrams, Morrie Bobrow and Gerald Nachman.  Directed by Suzan Lorraine, New Wrinkles is ably brought to life by Musical Director Gregg Klein and Choreographer Carol DeChaine Reyes.  Rehearsals for the show, though taken seriously by the cast, break down from time to time in unadulterated laughter!  Georgia Lee, Stuart Fink, Jan Brown, Dayle Farina and Matt Beal are all East Bay and Castro Valley actors who sing, act and dance their way through the hilarious and  occasionally poignant pieces.    "We wanted to end our 2011 season with a show that would leave 'em laughing in the aisles and repeating lyrics all the way home," says Suzan Lorraine, who is also Managing Director of the theatre.  "I'm sure our audiences will agree we found it New Wrinkles!"
