Castro Valley Arts Foundation Presents 'Peter and the Wolf'

Looking for a holiday event to entertain  the whole family?

Castro Valley Arts Foundation presents Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf,  featuring the Castro Valley Adult School Chamber Orchestra with narration by  KTVU News Reporter Kraig Debro on Sunday, December 19 at 2:00pm at the CFA.  Listen to the orchestra and narrator tell the story of a boy named Peter, who fearlessly ventures out to catch a wolf with the help of his animal friends.  Learn to recognize the instruments that portray Peter's friends: the bird, cat, ducks, wolf, Grandfather, hunters and Peter.  There will be an instrument petting zoo 45 minutes before the performance as well as a craft table with Jasmine Clemmons of Jazzy Crafts.  These extra activities are free to all ticket holders.

The Mt. Eden High School Choir will join the orchestra to perform other holiday favorites, and lead the audience in a sing-a-long.  Also, MPS private label Oil and Vinegar will be available for purchase.  (See A & E Calendar for ticket information.)
