Chanticleers, Castro Valley's community theater company, has announced its 2012 season and tickets are on sale now.
Moon Over Buffalo, a wacky and wild backstage farce by Ken Ludwig, about an acting couple on tour with a reperatory company in Buffalo in 1953 that are given a shot at stardom, starts playing February 24. Opening night tickets include free champagne and hors d'oeuvres after the performance. The play runs through March 18.

Scheduled performance dates are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 PM:
2/24, 2/25, 3/2, 3/3,3/9, 3/10, 3/16, 3/17; Bargain Night: Saturday 2/25;
Sunday Matinees at 2 pm: 3/4, 3/11, 3/18.
Other productions in the 2012 line-up are The 5th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee running May 11 through June 10, Lost in Yonkers being presented August 3 through 26 and Corpse playing October 19 through November 11. You can read descriptions of all of the plays here.
